LIVING IN THE SOUTH BAY BEACH CITIES & PALOS VERDES PENINSULA
Donna Cartwright specializes in facilitating the purchase and sale of single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums located in the ideal & affluent cities of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, and Rolling Hills Estates.
The name, South Bay, stems from its geographic location stretching along the southern shore of Santa Monica Bay. The South Bay is located in the southwest corner of Los Angeles County. The South Bay contains fifteen cities plus portions of the City of Los Angeles and unincorporated portions of the county. However, it’s the elite South Bay beach cities and Palos Verdes Peninsula cities with property along the coast that draws in business executives, athletes, independent entrepreneurs or anyone looking to effortlessly enjoy a blend of coastal living and a metropolitan backdrop; all find the South Bay areas of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and beach cities an ideal place to live.
Many residents of the South Bay beach cities and the Palos Verdes Peninsula spend their free time enjoying the beach, surfing, golfing, horse-back riding, cycling, trail hiking, exploring the tide pools, visiting the art centers, attending the community events and charities, enjoying concerts in the park, or escaping for a staycation at Terranea Resort. With so much to do, there’s little reason to leave the South Bay – except for the occasional game or concert at Staples Center, a college game at USC or UCLA, a baseball game at Dodger Stadium, or a trip to the Hollywood Bowl or LA County Art Museum (the largest art museum in the western United States!).
BEACH CITIES:
HERMOSA BEACH, MANHATTAN BEACH, REDONDO BEACH, and TORRANCE
Beach Cities is a nickname for a coastal area of Los Angeles County comprising oceanfront cities of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach, and includes the strip of Torrance’s beach property – Torrance Beach. The beach cities are located on the south end of the Santa Monica Bay west, south of downtown Los Angeles, and north of the Palos Verdes Peninsula on the Pacific Ocean in Southern California. All are renowned for their flat, sandy beaches with year-round, permanent volleyball nets, and the beach breaks for the many avid surfers and bodyboarders. The Strand runs along the beaches and is used for cycling, running and rollerblading as well as casual strolls with family and friends.
